ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT TEMPLATE FOR WEBSITE AND MOBILE APPLICATION FOR ENTITIES REFERRED TO IN ART. 3, PARAGRAPH 1-BIS OF LAW 4 OF 9 JANUARY 2004

Palazzo Caracciolo is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Law 4 of 9 January 2004, art. 3, paragraph 1-bis.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.palazzocaracciolo.com

COMPLIANCE STATUS

This website is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements set out by the applicable legislation and by UNI CEI EN 301549:2022, due to certain non-compliances and justified exemptions due to disproportionate burden, as provided for in art. 3-ter of Law 4/2004.

Partially compliant content

The following features are only partially compliant:

1.4.5 Images of text – Some text may be presented as images, but the content generally remains understandable.
1.4.4 Text resizing – Text may not always adapt correctly when enlarged, but it generally remains readable and accessible.
2.5.3 Label in name – Some controls or buttons may have a visual label that differs from the name used by screen readers, though the function remains partially understandable.
2.4.1 Bypass blocks – Some mechanisms to skip repetitive blocks may not always be available or easy to locate, though navigation remains partially manageable.
2.4.6 Headings and labels – Labels may not always be fully clear or consistent with intent, though this does not severely compromise understanding of functions or actions.
3.2.4 Consistent identification – Some elements may not be identified consistently, though this does not severely compromise user understanding.
1.3.2 Meaningful sequence – The reading order of content may not always be properly maintained by assistive technologies, though meaning remains partially understandable.

Non-compliant content

The following features are non-compliant:

1.3.1 Info and relationships
– Structural information may not be recognizable or properly conveyed, making pages difficult to use with assistive technologies.
1.4.1 Use of color – Color may be the only means of conveying essential information, creating difficulties for users relying on assistive technologies or with color-perception issues.
1.4.3 Contrast (minimum) – Many texts or visual elements may feature insufficient contrast against the background, significantly affecting readability for users with visual impairments.
2.4.7 Focus visible – Focus may not be visible during keyboard navigation, making it hard to understand one’s position on the page.
4.1.1 Parsing – Code may contain important or frequent errors that prevent correct interpretation by assistive tools.
2.4.4 Link purpose (in context) – Several links may not clearly indicate their destination, even when considering surrounding text, causing confusion for assistive technology users.
4.1.2 Name, Role, Value – Many interactive elements may not provide correct information about their name, role, or value, hindering interaction for assistive technology users.
3.1.1 Language of the page – The page may not specify the main language, causing pronunciation and comprehension issues for screen reader users.
1.1.1 Non-text content – Non-text content may lack any text alternative, making it completely inaccessible to users who cannot perceive it visually or otherwise.

Justification for disproportionate burden
The adjustments would require:

• external specialist interventions,
• significant financial investment,
• substantial organizational impact, diverting resources from normal operations.

Therefore, at this stage, implementing all required adjustments is not feasible; however, we are committed to progressively improving the site. Any intervention, update, or modification will also be aimed at ensuring greater accessibility, in line with the technical, financial, and organizational resources available to us.

PREPARATION OF THE ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
